WHY DO WE MARCH?
EINDHOVEN FIRST INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY MARCH
The Wave is a feminist group founded in Eindhoven in May 2019 that has now reached more than 400 people. The purpose of the group is to create space for dialogue, to promote equality and overturn unjust stereotypes.
Together we are stronger and it is important to have our voices heard to show there is still a lot to be done for equal rights all over the world.
To celebrate the International Women’s Day The Wave has organised the first Women’s March in Eindhoven on Sunday the 8th of March 2020.
Meeting point will be at noon at 18 Septemberplein.
This year the international campaign theme is #EachforEqual.
The Wave calls out other cities and organisations to march together to demonstrate collective responsibility in fighting for equal rights, to challenge stereotypes, fight bias and broad perceptions.
The Wave invites everyone who wants to show their interest and support for a more equal society to participate. The March will start at 18 Septemberplein and will go around the city center and to end at the initial starting point, where you can join for a talk with us, live music and dancing power workshops.
